Introduction to British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1
ABC Awards Level 1 Award in British Sign Language will enable you to communicate with Deaf people using sign language at the beginner level. This course will open your eyes to understand what it is like to talk with Deaf people using simple topics everyday use language. It is suitable for everyone committed to learning sign language and willing to commit to attend every week and do some homework at home.
The course have three units that candidates that need to pass all to gain the qualification.
The topics will be included:
- Introduction to BSL, Meeting People, Colours, Weather, Transport and directions, at home, people, animals and objects, Basic Numbers including Money Age Calendar, interests and activities, Basic Shopping, Food and Drink, getting around and exchanging information.
There are three units which are:-
- Productive Unit
- Receptive Unit
- Conversational Unit
Assessments occur during the normal time, and at your home, the assessment fees are included in the course price. Repeat for the assessment during the course duration will be included but will be charged after the course duration.
- Individuals: £590 including assessment fees.
- Organisation: £815 including assessment fees
Instalment plan are available.
