 Deaf Man among the Papuans

A deaf author, Carlos Michaud who were born in Brazil in 1930 but living in Switzerland since 1933.

He researched in Entomology, ethnology and the tales of explorers including history of Deaf people.

In 1959, he travelled to Brazil to visit the Amazonian tribes on a trip that lasted for three months.  Michaud wrote a book about his trip called "Deaf man among the Indians".  However his dreams continued to haunt him until one day, when he finally found himself flying out to Papua to discover the indigenous tribes there.  In all, Michaeud visited the area three times, in 1996, 1999, 2000.
